Craig Eugene Phillips

         It is with great sadness that the family of Craig Eugene Phillips aka C.P announces his passing after a brief illness. He departed this life early Sunday morning July 28th, 2019 at the age of 59.  He attended Perley Elementary, Thomas Jefferson Junior High, and John Adams High School. He worked as a construction worker for many years to provide for his family.

         Craig was a wonderful father and great friend to those who knew him personally. His love for life and people was shown through his unique sense of humor. He was truly one of a kind and he impacted people’s lives in ways that will never be forgotten.

           Craig will be forever remembered by his brothers Joe Phillips and Bernard Phillips; Sister Angela Green of  Atlanta, GA.   His three children Lawanna Phillips and her mother June Chandler/ Harris, Cameron and Brandon Phillips (Karen Poindexter) and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Alonzo and Juanita Phillips.

An Evening Celebration of Life for Mr. Craig Phillips (formally of South bend) will take place 7PM Friday Aug. 2, 2019; Family Hour 6PM at Laymen Chapel CME 303 Kenmore St. Arrangements have been entrusted to Boyd and Son Funeral Home.
