Ashanti Melissa Dean Affectionately known as (BooBaby) was born to February 24, 1989 in Chicago, ILL. She relocated to South Bend, IN with her father in 1993. Ashanti met the love of her life James and they moved to Jackson, Miss in 2018 with their children. She   worked as a P.S.A. at Amanda Senior Care helping seniors. Ashanti loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her beautiful children whom she loved dearly. Ashanti loved to laugh and have fun. She was the life of the party. One thing we also know, she was a Daddy’s Girl. A special thing she would do is ask you for a dollar, then give it to a homeless person.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her Children: Ja’vontae Dean, Kenya Spears, Armoni Spears, Semyah Hunt, Laymeah Hunt, Jay’ Den Hunt, Ja’ Riyha Hunt and Cerinity Hunt.  Fiancée James Hunt, Mother: Carolyn Brown, Father: Richard Dean, Stepmom Hope Dean, Grandmother Shirley Ward, Sisters Stephanie Brown, Dorcas Eaton, Abigail McThune, Shunette Brown, Latatia Stokes, and Kimeatra Stokes; Brothers: Ericny Stokes and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to www.boydandsonfuneralhome.com
