Barbara Jo Forrest

August 15, 1943 – July 20, 2026

Barbara Jo Forrest, lovingly known  as "Sister Barbara," was born on August 15, 1943, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Joe Forrest and Mildred Mitchell. She peacefully departed this life on July 20, 2026, following an extended illness.

Barbara was a devoted woman of faith who loved the Lord, cherished her family, enjoyed music, and found great joy in serving others. 

She will be remembered for her contagious smile, compassionate heart, generous spirit, and her signature greeting, "Hello, God bless you!"

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Defrantz Forrest, Monique Forrest, and Joseph E. Davis; her siblings; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Boyd and Son Funeral Home & Crematory.

A Celebration of Life honoring Barbara's life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Faith Alive Ministries, 909 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m., followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m.

The service will be officiated by Bishop Eddie L. Miller and Pastor Jonathan Miller ("YPJ").
