Bishop Donald Earl Boykins 66, of Mishawaka, IN passed away December 8, 2018 with his wife Prophetess Barbara Boykins at his side. On January 30, 1952, Clement and Mattie Boykins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma welcomed their son Donald Earl Boykins to the world. Bishop Boykins professed his love for Christ at an early age and became an ordained minister in 1979. He later answered the call of Bishop, overseeing 14 churches in his district. "Indeed, the LORD your God has blessed you in all the works of your hands" Deut. 2:7. Bishop's gifted hands worked in ministry and in cooking. He attended culinary school in Marsa, France receiving a B.S. in Culinary Arts. Bishop became an Executive Chef in various Establishments: Antigua- Island in Barbuda, Pittsburg State, and the Marriott Hotel. He leaves to cherish his loving memory: Wife Prophetess Barbara Boykins, Son Donald Boykins Jr. of Fairville, AR and Daughters: Cleste White and Anette Atobajeun; both of Houston, TX. A Brother Joseph (Rachelle) Akinson of Langston, OK two sisters Barbara Williams of Shawnee, OK and Charlyn Brown of Dallas, TX. Three Brother-in-laws: Richard (Sharon) Hubbard, Prophet Calvin (Diane) Hubbard and Yul (Nancy) Hubbard of Houston, Tx. Bishop Boykins was preceded in death by his parents, one son Yul P. Hubbard, a twin brother Elder Ronald Boykins and one sister Evelyn Akinson. A Special thanks to heart to heart hospice.
A Private Celebration of Life will take place in Honor of the Bishop Donald Earl Boykins in Dayton Beach, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted to Boyd and Son Funeral Home. www.boydandsonfuneralhome.com
