Booker N. Stokes II, 31 of South Bend, IN was born to the proud parents of Booker N. Stokes Sr. and Tanika “Nikki” Jones on November 26, 1991. He received his formal education from the South Bend Community School Corporation graduating from Washington High School. During his youth, spiritual guidance came from attending Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Booker learned about the Lord at an early age, accepted Christ and was baptized. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. A proud father, loving Brother and a devoted Son. He held a special place in his grandmother’s heart and always made his family proud. Booker was a dedicated Notre Dame Fan as well as a Lakers Fan. He enjoyed life. He was sick, but yet he kept the faith to keep moving forward. Booker had values that his father had instilled in him. Our Booker was able to use the same skills to raise the three boys in his life. He also loved having family gatherings, enjoying the food and making lasting memories. Sisters: Natasha and Karmen Jefferson of Indianapolis, IN; Krislyn Thomas of Columbus, Ohio; Lace Merriweather and Takeya Lovelady of South Bend, IN; Jasmonet D. (Timothy) Jackson-Holmes of Charleston, South Carolina. Godmother Nicole Adams. Supportive aunts and uncles: Jonathan Parahams of Goshen, IN, Jonika Parahams of Atlanta, Ga, Garrett Stokes, Charles (Anna) Stokes, Quila (Pastor Anthony) Pettus, Raynandole Poindexter, Joaquin Poindexter, Jonatha (James) Parahams- Bridgeman and a host of Cousins family and friends. He was preceded in death by Maternal Great grandmother Carrie Bell Jenkins, Pathernal great grandparents: Roosevelt and Beasie Starling.
