Mr. David Harper (83) of Valparaiso, IN entered eternal rest with his father on Sunday May 2, 2021 surrounded by his wife of 21 years and his loving family.
David was born in a wooden cabin to the union of Floyd and Ruth Harper on November 23, 1937 in Brookville, IN. After graduating from Fairview High School, he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on November 23, 1966. After relocating to the Phoenix area, along with his parents and siblings, he eventually retired from the State of Arizona Highway Dept. as a Road Inspector. He was the proud owner of two corvettes, two speed boats and worked every day his health permitted. He was always in motion. David married Dottie on July 27, 2000 and treated her children as his own. He was devoted to his wife and in recent years was always helping his son-in-law with projects around the house and working on his cars until he became ill from Covid-19 in February of this year.
