Edrick Germaine Elie, 47, of South Bend, IN, died unexpectedly, Saturday, December 30, 2023, due to health complications. Edrick was born June 29, 1976, in Alexandria, LA where he resided with his maternal grandparents until he moved to South Bend at the age of 14. Edrick enrolled into South Bend Community Schools when he moved to South Bend. He also attended a couple of trade schools throughout his life. If you knew Edrick, you knew he could draw very well, a trait he picked up from his father. Edrick was a “self-proclaimed skilled handyman and mechanic at heart!” He worked various jobs throughout his life, one position that he was proud to hold was Team Lead at a local Jiffy Lube as it allowed him to work on cars. Edrick loved cracking jokes, giving people wet willies, and just enjoying life. He had a smile that was goofy and contagious at the same time. He loved food, he was known as the “human garbage disposal” because he would go to anyone’s house and eat leftovers no matter how long they may have been in there. Edrick left an everlasting mark on all he encountered as he had a way to make people laugh and feel loved. Edrick leaves to cherish his memories, his loving partner, Rochelle (Wonk) Quinn of South Bend, IN. His seven children, Erica Elie, of South Bend, IN, Journee Elie of Slidell, LA, Edrick Elie Jr., Edriana Elie, Trevon Quinn, Dametri Elie, and Bryce Blackmon all of South Bend, IN.
