Emma Dean Jennings

Mrs. Emma Dean Jennings 92, of South Bend, IN passed away surrounded by loving family on January 7, 2019. Mrs. Jennings was born to the loving union of Joe and Alberta Staten on November 5, 1926 in Parkin, Arkansas. She was one of four children born into the Staten family. Mrs. Emma married the love of her life, Robert Jennings at the age of 14 in 1940. Their marriage lasted twenty-seven years until his passing in 1967.  

Mrs. Jennings was a faithful member of Greater New Vision Baptist Church for over 26 years under the leadership of the late Rev. Henry L. Giden. She worked over twenty years in home health providing care, compassion and aid. In her spare-time Mrs. Jennings enjoyed sewing and gardening.     

Mother Emma leaves to cherish her loving memory; one daughter Roberta Parahams, One granddaughter Shirley Kimble and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins and family and friends.     

Memorial Service will take place on Saturday January 19, 2019 at 1PM at Greater New Vision Baptist Church 1923 Lincoln Way, South Bend, IN. Pastor Rev.
