Eneldani Toni Doswell, 79 of South Bend, IN finished her last earthly assignment on February 5, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the union of Howard and Annie Gardner January 1, 1943 in Cleveland, OH. During her youth she was a member of Glenville SDA Church and graduated from East Technical High School in 1961. She continued her education and graduated from Oakwood College 1967 and furthered her education at Andrews University. Eneldani would dedicate her life to being a humble selfless educator writing and publishing many books. Being a true trailblazer, she worked as a bible worker in Southern CA Conference and was a key force in revitalizing the Westside SDA Church under the leadership of Pastor Thomas Derrick. She found not a role beneath her, willing to wear any hat that would help build the kingdom. She was known for giving nicknames to those dear to her heart: Big Sister Little Sister ,and If one would ask how she was doing; she would reply “I’m in the fair lane.
She didn’t let the grass grown under her feet, she would often shout bold with a fist “Stand up for your Rights” using that very same hand to write and draw children illustrations reaching and teaching God’s most precious. Music was in her blood, oh how she loved to sing and play the piano. Education was her passion and she stressed being on time while being a faithful member of the of the Praise fellowship church.
The light that Eneldani Doswell shined poured over into her loving children: Monica Doswell, Cordell Doswell and fiancé Pebbles and Anthony(Rehea) Doswell and her legacy continues with her beautiful grandchildren: Turonica, Kamai and fiancé Maddie,Patrick and wife Paola, Amber, Chrystal, Deshea,Olivia Anthony Jr., and Anayha. She is also survived by cousin Betty,Yvonne, James and Ann and sister-in Law Dorothy Gardner, two nephews Mathew and wife Nicole and Omar and wife Kimberly Gardner And their children Maiya, Alexandria, Evan, Jordyn and Michael. Close friends Vicky, Gloria, Florence, Shirley, Dorthy Banner and Byron Napper that were there for her. She was preceded in death by her Parents and brother Albert Gardner.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday February 11, 2022 at 11 AM with a viewing one-hour prior Greater St. Mathew Church 2705 Marquette Blvd. South Bend, IN 46628. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to www.boydandsonfuneralhome.com
