Ericny (Eric) Stokes

Ericny (Eric) Lee Stokes was born March 24, 1981, to Richard Dean and Mary Stokes-Blackwell in West Memphis Arkansas, they moved to Chicago, IL in 1982 where he spent his childhood and teenage years then relocated to South Bend, IN at 17 years old where he made that his home. He graduated from Washington Highschool and later enrolled in Ivy Tech College for business. He enjoyed making music, he started rapping at a young age and wanted to pursue a career in the music industry but decided to be a family man. He was hard-working and loved spending his time with family and making them laugh. He had a laugh that was special and contagious to where we would mimic it and make him laugh even harder.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfather-William Stokes, Grandmother- Carrie Mae Stokes, Sister- Ashanti Dean, Stepsister- Shunetta Brown, Cousins- Sherenta Dean and Anthony Norwood, and Uncle- Robert Ward

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his kids Amaur Stringer, Faith Wickizer, Zyonnia Stokes, Tre’Vont Stokes, Alayah Stokes, significant other Latisa Bryant, Grandchild- Xy’Jul Wickizer, Mother-Mary Stokes-Blackwell, Father-Richard Dean, Stepmom- Hope Dean, Grandmother- Shirley Ward, Siblings-Latatia Stokes, Kimeatra Stokes and Frederick Blackwell, Stepsisters- Stephanie Brown, Dorcas Eaton and Abigail McThune, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
