James Newhouse Jr. was born on June 25, 1937 in Trenton,TN to Elsie Barnett, James Newhouse. He departed this life on December 26,2024 at the age of 87. He married Mary Aracada Newhouse and to this union 3 kids were born. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather.
He attended and graduated from Rosenwald High school, he joined the Air Force in his early 20’s. He was employed at Clark Equipment Company where he retired. He enjoyed listening to blues and watching his western shows. He also loved sports specifically football, his favorite teams were Notre Dame and San Fransico 49ers. He was the kind of man that would give you his shirt off his back. James loved to crack jokes and see others smile. James had all the wisdom, his favorite quote was “Always Keep a penny in your pocket with a smile on your face.”
He is survived by his daughter Rebecca Newhouse, Janice(James) plump, Son in law Melvin Holland in South Bend, IN . Also, two bonus children Lisha & Lamont Allen from Oakland, CA. James also has 10 grandchildren,
Aracada(George) Black, Brandon Neiley, Brian Neiley, Byron Neiley, Jacinda Wills, Jazmin Wills, Jalen Holland, Isaiah Holland, Josiah Holland. James also has 13 great grandchildren along with 7 great great grandchildren, also a host of cousins, nieces, & nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents (James Newhouse & Elsie Barnett), Wife (Mary Aracada LutenNewhouse),daughter(Iradella Holland),Sister (Marion Newhouse), Brother (Billy Linell Newhouse) grandchild (Jabari wills) niece (Etienne Newhouse)
Because his fruits and his faith pleased God he can now hear “Well done my good and faithful servant”
