Johnny Price, 60 died of natural causes on March 25, 2024, at home surrounded by family. He was born November 20, 1963, in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Elech Mckelry and Jimmy Price.
John went to Adams High School following high school John worked with Austins hauling service and Subway and diverse car lots. He loved working with cars and cleaning them. John married Theresa Cheaton (McDaniel) after high school, and they had their children together Janette, Johnathan, Jathan until they divorced sometime later but remained friends over the years. John married Bobbie Bryant years later until they divorced but remained friends. John was last married to Raenada Hurd. He is preceded in death by Elech Mckelry and Jimmy Price his parents he is also preceded in death by his siblings Joyce Johnson White, Cathy Prince, and Ronnie Price. John is survived by his children Janette Price, Johnathan Price (Rebecca), Jathan Price (Kelly). John had special bonus children Kelly, Erika, Derrick, Antonio, Anauttica, Anaejahca, Aalisha. His grandchildren: Daivon Price, Trinity Price, Johnathan Price (Jr), Nathaniel Price, Leilani Hurd Williams, Leion Hurd Williams, Demetrius Muhammad, and a host of Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews. John is also survived by his Uncle Willy Hall, brothers Jesse Mckelry (Norma), Ronnie Price and his sister Teri Mckelry and a host of cousins and friends and great cousins. John was truly loved and known for his cooking and grilling, he also liked mixing up his BBQ sauces and having people try them and his food. It was one of his love languages. John was a great father and friend to anyone he came in contact with him. He was an even better grandfather who played a great role in his grandchildren's lives. Memorial Services will be held at 3 pm Saturday April 6, 2024, at Laymen Chapel CME Church 303 S. Kenmore St. South Bend. Funeral Services Arranged by Boyd & Son F.H.
