Josiah Small

Sadly departed this life on Friday, October 27, 2023. Just seven short days after celebrating his 12th birthday. He was born October 20, 2011, to Erika Small and Quintin Ferguson Sr. He attended Dickinson Middle School, where he played football. He enjoyed watching anime and YouTube. He also loved wrestling and spending endless hours enjoying the company of his baby sister who he truly adored.

Josiah leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents Erika Small and Quintin Ferguson Sr; his only sister Emeryss Avance. Four brothers: Quintin Jr, Zontae, Amir and Jayceon Ferguson. Grandparents James Small, Angela Thompson (whom he shared a special bond) and Tamela Ferguson. Five aunts including two special great aunts out of South Bend: Adanakai (Terence) Wheeler, Vanaija and Aaliyah Moore, Ja’liyah Small and Janiyah Clemons, and Monica Neely and Melanie Thompson. Uncles: James Thomas (lil Eric) and Vanté Moore. Godmother Savananha Hill and bonus grandmother Patricia Williams as well as a host of cousins, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Della and Benjamin Thompson, Charlene Small and James Neely. Paternal great grandparents Thomas Ferguson and Gwendolyn Woods.
