Julia Mae Jefferies was born July 18, 1941, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Bernice Smith and Eddie Green. She departed this life on December 17, 2024, at the age of 83. On August 19, 1961, she married Robert Gene Jefferies (aka Bobby) and to this union, seven kids were born. She was a devoted, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Everyone who encountered her felt the love, joy and peace she brought, we will cherish the memories we had with her forever.
She is survived by sons Alvin (aka Peter) Jefferies and Ricky (Michelle) Jefferies; daughters Wanda Jefferies, Barbra Doxie, Bernice and Larnice Jefferies. Twenty grandkids, Bobby (Kyersten) Younger, of Bolingbrook, IL, Walter (Heather) Jefferies, of Indianapolis, IN, Darryl (TeShelle) Anderson Jr, of Atlanta, GA, Gartisha Doxie, LaToya (Steven) Williams, Rickey Jefferies Jr, Marquita (Adrian) Anderson - Neily, Connie Moore, Larnice Jefferies Jr, Garland (Abbey) Doxie, Carrie Crawford, James (Arlexus) Crawford, Yvonne Harding, Dreion Walker, Alvin Jefferies Jr, Diamond Jefferies, Gregory Tate Jr, Sidney Jefferies, Alexander Jefferies, Julia Jefferies, all of South Bend, IN . Forty-Four great grandkids and seven great - great grandkids. Sister Geneva Williams, sister-in-law Freddie Black and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby, son Robert, her parents Bernice Smith and Eddie Green, and her father and mother- in- law Eugene and Lilie Viril Jefferies, grandson Richard Jefferies, great grandsons Cordel Anderson and Darryl Anderson lll, brothers Clarence Green and Edward Smith Sr, daughter -in-law Carlita Jefferies, brothers-in-law Shanon, Weldon, Julius and John Wayne Jefferies, nephews Eddie Giden, Weldon Jefferies Jr and Jeffery Jefferies.
Celebration of life will take place on Saturday December 28, 2024 11AM with a Viewing One-hour prior at Faith Apostolic Ministries. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to www.boydandsonfuneralhome.com where condolences may be shared.
