Larry Marley Obituary

Mr. Larry D. Marley Sr. 68, a beacon of light in so many people’s eyes. Passed from this early light just six days shy of his 69th birthday. He passed peacefully with his loving wife Arlene holding his hand, in the Ernestine Raclin Center for Hospice. Born to the union of the late C. W. McCoy & the late Essie Lee Marley in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Larrry was well Known by people from Yazoo City to East St. Louis to Michigan City to South Bend, In where he resided for the past 30 years until his passing.

Forty-five years ago, Larry met his future and present wife at a chance meeting in Michigan City. Fast forward to 2002, when they met again, then again in 2003 when he decided that his woman wasn’t going to get away from him ever again. On September 12, 2009, Larry was united in marriage to Arlene Stuckey, who he remained married until his passing. Also surviving is Larry’s Six children: Four Sons: Pierre (Jeanetta) Mosley of Belleville, IL, Larry Jr. (Lakota) Marley of Lincoln, NE, and Charles (Amber) Taylor, Christian Davis all of South Bend, IN. Two Daughters: Rickye Stuckey of South Bend, In and Sharesa Marley of Michigan City. He is also survived by his 33 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, Sisters: Cheryl Hick, Ruby and Barbara McCoy. Brothers in love: Danny Grinston, Kelsey Nelson, Charlie Day and Albert Seay.

Sisters and brother-in-law- Michelle Stuckey, Laverne Wardlow, Esther “Cornish Miller” Holmes, Melissa Wade, Rosie Grinston. Mother-In-law, Esther wade Special granddaughters Jariah, Zahne Stuckey, Isabella Taylor whom he helped raise from birth to 5years old. He also leaves a plethora of family and friends. Proceeding him in death are his parents C.W. McCoy and Essie L. Marley, brother Stanley Atwood, Cousins Charles and Mike Grinston and great granddaughter kay’loni young.

Your love is my strength, even in this silence you left behind. Husband, I will Honor you and the memories you left behind. You are truly missed and in my heart you will always remain.

Larry, I fell in love with you before I kissed you. I fell in love with you before touching you. Meeting you was and still is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love you !! Humbly submitted by your loving wife, forever
