Mark (Kevin) Campbell Obituary

Mark "Kevin" Campbell of Auburn Indiana passed away on March 6, 2026 in Culver Indiana with his family. Kevin was born in Plymouth, Indiana on Aug. 23, 1954, to Ernest and Rosemarie (Nelson) Campbell. Kev graduated from New Haven High School in 1972 as the ROTC Lieutenant Commander his senior year. Kev went on to earn a BA from Ball State and an MA of Education from Saint Francis. Kevin began his teaching career at Tippecanoe Valley, then on to Dekalb Schools until he retired. He continued his love of music with Mynette Music (Sweetwater) until his second retirement. He then enjoyed volunteering at a Clydesdale farm and repurposed instruments into functional art. Kevin's hobbies included golf and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and grandparents Ernest & Leona (Green) Campbell, John & Stella (Fletcher) Nelson.


Kevin is survived by his brothers Craig (Joellen), Kent (Lisa). Nephews and nieces Chris (Sophie), Erin (Mark) Duquaine, Keegan (Elizabeth), David (Angela) and Alicia (Kenny) Bachtel. Great nieces and nephew Kya, Jack Campbell. Hannah, Sam, Leah, Ian, Stella, Emma Duquaine. Porter, Everett, Ingrid Campbell. Ryan, Allie Campbell. Kara, Charley, Miles Bachtel and his dear friends Dan Cooper, Jen McAlhany and Terry Fisher. Honoring Kevin's wishes, cremation has taken place. Kev requested you please celebrate his life in your own way.
Friends of Kevin are planning a Celebration of Life to be held later in Auburn, IN. They will honor Kevin for his dedication to music and mentoring students in their musical pursuit.
