Mary Bell Ward Obituary

Mrs. Mary Bell Ward, 68 of South Bend, IN passed away on November 5, 2021. Mary Bell was born to the union of James and Sylvia Suggs on February 19, 1953 in Cassopolis, Michigan. She was a hardworking woman often working at various restaurants as a waitress over the years. Mary Bell loved children and taking care of them and raised her grandson, Jermaine Suggs, as her own. She married Walter Ward Jr. in Niles, MI in 1986 and share many memories together and she was blessed with a daughter, Clarice McGee. She would enjoy life’s greatest moments, dancing, singing and being active in the church.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, Husband Walter Ward Jr. of Niles, MI; Daughter Clarice McGee of Goshen, IN; Grandson Jermaine Suggs; Four siblings: Toka Suggs of South Bend, IN; Martha Suggs and Myrtle Suggs-Reeves both of Niles, MI; and Ethel Suggs-Bradley of Grand Rapids, MI and a host of grandchildren, family and friends.

Mary Bell was preceded in death by her parents, Siblings: Tommie Lee Suggs, Deltrice Gillam, James Douglas Suggs Jr., Beatrice Suggs-Reeves, Isaiah Suggs, and Trudy Suggs.

 

A Celebration of life will take place on Saturday November 20, 2021 at 11 A.M., Viewing one hour prior at Layman Chapel CME Church.
