Melvin Clark

Mr. Melvin Clark 74, was born to Roosevelt and Viline (Jones) Clark on July 24, 1950 in South Bend, In. He was a graduate of Riley High School, where he excelled on the Swimming team as Riley’s 1st Black Diver taking them to the state in 1968. He continued his studies by completing the Automotive technician program at Ivy Tech community College.

Melvin married his love of his life, Kim Lottie. The southeast side became home where they share so many memories and raised their beautiful family. Melvin and Kim Celebrated 50 years of marriage in August.

He was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother, Cousin and so much more to all those who knew and loved him. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, BBQing, fixing everyone’s cars, and being the best father and grandfather.

He leaves to cherish in his loving memory, wife Kim Lottie, Son: Melvin D. Clark ., Daughter: Monica Clark, Darnesha Clark Owens ,Melissa (dewayne) hershburger fuller; fourteen grandchildren: Michael jr, Nisha, Teralana, Ti’lia, Tamarria, Tashanti, Te’Arrance, Tamera, Terrence, Truth, Truly Leyton, Summer, Autumn, Only, Greatgrand child : Tay’lani. Loving Siblings: Jerome (Debbie) Clark, Deloris Clark, Rickey Clark, Johnny (Cherry) Clark, Valerie Clark, Rodney (Sue) Clark, Kenny (Anika) Thompson and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

On July 10, 2024 Melvin was called home to his heavenly father and reunited with love ones who preceded in him in death: Parents: Roosevelt and Viline Clark, Brothers: Terry, Roosevelt Jr., Louis, Danny and sons Michael, Terrance, Daughter Cynthia Clark.

Service is Friday July 19, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church 1232 E Bronson St, South Bend, IN 46615; viewing one-hour prior. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to www.boydandsonfuneralhome.com where condolences may be shared.
