Mr. Kenneth D. West

On January 22, 1959 Clark and Rose West became the proud parents of a son named Kenneth D. West. Often known as K-West, he was Born in South Bend, IN. Kenneth graduated from Washington High School where he was a member of the wrestling and football team. West was known for is natural athletic ability and often shared memories of his sports career. He Retired from De Monte Foods where he worked many years providing for his family. K-West's smile, laughter and love for life will always be remembered. He was a lover of numerous pets including an iguana. Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend passed away on November 2, 2018 from health complications. He leaves to cherish his loving memory: Son Kenneth (Zulekha) West Jr of South Bend, IN; Daughter Latanya (Damian) Johnson-Bailey of South Bend, IN; One Brother Cark West Jr. of South Bend, IN; special cousin Irving Myrick and his best friend Odie Miller. K-West Also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by parents, siblings: Bridget A. West-Chambliss and Colleen West. 

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday November 17, 2018 at Layman Chapel CME 303 S. Kenmore St. South Bend with a 9:AM Viewing and a 10AM Service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Boyd and Son Funeral Home www.boydandsonfuneralhome.com
