Richard Reynolds Obituary

Mr. Richard Reynolds 61, of S. Falcon St., South Bend, IN left this world to Soon on December 19, 2020 at his home. He was Born to the union of Andrew and Anna B. Reynolds on April 25, 1959 in South Bend, IN. He graduated from Washington High School “Pride of the Westside” and later attended Ivy Tech to further his studies. Mr. Reynolds worked at Steel Warehouse on Bendix for many years.  He served his country in the national guard.

He enjoyed reading, spending time with family and friends and cooking. If you knew Richard and spent a few minutes with him you would hear him say, “Everything and Stuff” or ”B.S. ain’t about nothing”. Richard was a big strong loving giant who loved everyone. Richard would have you laughing in minutes He was proud serve his country after high school. He accepted Christ as his Lord and savior at a young age. 

He leaves to cherish his loving memory:  Two beautiful daughters Ishika Cross-Reynolds and Seikras Washington; six Grandchildren: Andrew Grant, Micaika, Keshaun and Taylor Cross. Jay’vion Jackson and Justice Avila. A very Special Nephew: Kenny (K-West) West. Nieces and Nephews: Kendra Crew, Jasmine (Benny) Taylor, Murray Bishop Jr., Ashia Bishop, Daddy Rich, Benard Jr. and his daughter’s mother Nanette Austin. A great Niece Analyia Hatcher. He also leaves four great nieces, one great nephew and one great-great niece. Two Aunts: Dorothy Smith of Trenton, TN and Martha Ann Boykins of Painvillie, Ohio. Special friends: Keith Grant, Stan Burroghs, James West, Curtis Leonard (Cootie), Kenny Johnson (KJ) and Johnny Harris. 

Four Siblings: Clarice Reynolds of Stockbridge, GA; Andrea (Fish) Reynolds, James Mason and Demon (Marchlle) Petit all of South Bend, IN. He also leaves a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. 

He was preceded in death by one aunt: Emma Clark, his Parents and Grandparent.

 

A Celebration of life will take place in his Honor on Monday December 28, 2020 at 4 PM with a viewing one-hour prior at Laymen Chapel CME Church 303 Kenmore St. South Bend, IN. MASKS REQUIRED.
