It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Rochelle

Vernice Flowers-Burks, who left this world on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at her home; she was 64 years old.

Rochelle was born on November 1, 1960, to the union of Herman and Patricia Flowers in Chicago, Illinois. During her childhood, her family relocated to South Bend, Indiana, where she grew up and built her life.

Rochelle is survived by her mother, Patricia Flowers; her son, Lorenzo Davis; her daughter, Latoya Stewart; four grandchildren—Justin Stewart, Nevaiah Stewart, Mariah Childress, and Courtney Childress; one sister, Latanja Gary; two brothers, Herman Flowers and Robert Flowers; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Flowers Sr.; her sister, Patrice Verse; brother, Jack Flowers; nephew, Preston Flowers; and her grandmother, Ollie Lawhorn.

Rochelle’s kind-hearted spirit will forever be remembered by all who knew her. Burial at Fairview Cemetery will take place. Arrangements have been entrusted to www.boydandsonfuneralhome.com  where condolences may be shared.
