Our Loving Mother Ruthie Mae Thomas 69, on July 4, 2022 was called to her eternal resting place. She was born to the union of Precelle and Lovey Thomas on December 5, 1952 in Swifttown, Mississippi. She was educated in the Leflore County Public School System. Ruthie was very intelligent and used her smarts to teach her cousins to read and write as a young girl.
Ruthie was a very kind and loving woman. She enjoyed cooking holiday meals for her children, going to the Bingo Hall with her friends and grooving to her favorite artists, Al Green and the Temptations. Ruthie loved God and instilled that same faith in her children. She was a faithful member at Pentecostal Cathedral COGIC under the leadership of Bishop Donald L. Alford.
Ruthie was blessed with six children; Angelo Williams, Consuela Williams, Julaine Brown, Sedgewick Neily, Emanuel Neily and Shaina James. She has 20 grand children and eight great-grand children. She has one special aunt, Cozette Thurman, who played a role in raising her. She has five living siblings, Don Boston, Apolonia Scott, Richard Thomas, Betty Thomas and John Boston. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
